yeah congrats. that is awesome.

I have seen my own breathing and there are several times where the exhale is lengthened, and essentially flat. Yes, there is space below the graph showing I am getting the air out, it is just taking some time. (I have upper airway resistance the slows my exhale through my nose in varying degrees.)

I may have experienced hypercapnia, so awakened and got a good swig of air and exhaled a bunch of bad gas.

Most of the sleep breathing looks like this, with a real bump in expiration, then tapered greatly until inhale starts. This assuredly gets all the CO2 out.

We are probably just fine with those periods of the labored exhale breathing, I have slept for over an hour doing the same breathing (not interrupted as above, but constant.)

I don't use a lower exhale pressure (pressure relief) setting. That may work to increase the flow of my exhale even though restricted.
