Sleepyhead card backup location
How can the user change the location that Sleephead uses to store the card backup during import? Where in the program is it defined?

I think I replied too soon. When I go to file.change data folder, I am selecting the file location FROM which Sleepyhead imports the data. At the same time as it imports, Sleepyhead saves a backup of the SD card. That is a different location. How do I specify that location?

RE: Sleepyhead card backup location
I think all of your backup data defaults to MyDocuments/Sleepyhead/profiles/patient name/machine ID/Backup

Separate backup sets are maintained for every patient and machine. If you expand profiles you will see the patients, expanding patients show their machines, expanding each machine shows the backups. The actual backup files are several layers below the backup folder.

You can select what directory is used for data. The backup is a subdirectory of that folder. If you change the folder root for Sleepyhead, it will create all of the file structure it needs for profiles, events, screenshots and other subfolders.

RE: Sleepyhead card backup location
Let me add something here. I have more than one computer on a network. All computers can access the same data on a server by pointing Sleepyhead to a mapped drive on the server. In the case of client machines, I change the data folder to a network location or mapped drive. You can change where Sleepyhead puts the backup set only by changing the "master" folder where sleepyhead stores all data and reports.

Try This:
First go to the current location and copy the SH-Data folder. Then go to the location (drive/directory) that you want it to be and paste the copied directory to that spot. Now start SH and let it go through any import and wait till it is idle. Go to File->Change Data Folder and select the new location where you copied the data file to. SH should display a messagebox stating that it will restart using the new data location. If successful you can then delete the old directory.

Sleepyhead IMPORTS data from a SD card. When you use the import function you can point the program to a drive to import data from.

That data is saved and backed up in the folders I pointed out earlier. Those are the saved data folders.

Thank you both. I confused myself. Sleeprider is absolutely right. If there was any doubt this exercise shows I am sleep deprived.

His first answer is right on point.
