How long did it take to clear?  And, did it clear after not using CPAP therapy at all? Or did it clear even on CPAP but with a different mask?

Thank you,

I only tried CPAP that one night in the lab, I haven't been fitted for my own mask or machine yet. When I get my own machine in a few weeks we'll see if it happens again. I certainly hope it doesn't, it's a horrible feeling. Edit: it lasted for about a full day for me.

Safire,

One thing I would suggest is that you ask your Dr. to set your machine to a lower max. setting first and then have them increase the pressure slowly only if necessary.  I am convinced that my pressure was set too high initially which either put pressure inside my ear or maybe somehow triggered my TMJ.   I don't understand why they don't do this as a standard practice.  They can remotely titrate the pressure up.

Regards,

RE: Tinnitus and DreamWear Mask
holden4th,

Yes, I did have my ears checked for wax blockage and was given an over the counter treatment. I went to an ENT who said my ears looked good, pressure check was good and even had hearing test. The hearing is good as well. Not sure if the ENT checked my Eustachian tubes though. Is there a special procedure for that?

Thank you,
