How to keep old data while updating Sleepyhead?
I have the old version of SH installed and want to move to the latest version while retaining my old data. According to SH, I need to uninstall the old version before installing the update. Does this mean I lose my old data? If so, what is the process to update and retain the old data? Thanks!

Hello, I am also interested in this issue. With time, I accumulated a lot of comments about my nights, it would be regrettable to lose the data.
Have a good day!

The database should still be retained, at least in the Mac version it is.
RE: How to keep old data while updating Sleepyhead?
Great day, I uninstalled sleepyhead and started installing the new version. It hung during install and wahoo, I lost old data and access to sleepyhead! I can't uninstall as it hung before setting up the uninstall portion... Glad I had my data in Rescan as well...
Any thoughts on how to proceed? I did copy the original sleepyhead folder to a separate folder prior to the uninstall. Theoretically I still have the data but will I be able to extract? Totally bummed, the old version worked perfectly, why oh why did I mess with it... Grrr... Whew, was able to get some of the data back...

RE: How to keep old data while updating Sleepyhead?
I had to use my backup Sleephead data as well. In fact, I back it up before I upload data from my SD Card. SH messes up the AHI randomly. This first became prominent after using Beta 1.0.0 beta 2 but it also happens in beta 1. Unfortunately, jedimark has remained silent on this issue.
What I do after installing SH or when I notice bad data, I close the app and use the backup copy and then copy the backup folder to the default SH directory in Windows 7: \Documents\SleepHeadData Ensure that you do not have two versions of the folder SleepyHeadData in Documents. |
