Thanks eseedhouse. What do you recommend? I'm using a product from Arrowhead.

cheapest gallon of distilled water in the store... should be right around a dollar (+ tax since you are in CA)

Tongue Suck Technique for prevention of mouth breathing:
  • Place your tongue behind your front teeth on the roof of your mouth
  • let your tongue fill the space between the upper molars
  • gently suck to form a light vacuum

Practising during the day can help you to keep it at night

Just make sure the it says 'Distilled' on the label and then go for the cheapest you can find. All distilled water is exactly the same, nothing but 100% pure H2O.

I smell nothing other than when I awaken and remove the Humidifier the bottom of that container is very warm. Is there a problem developing that I should be aware of?

Maybe she is smelling heated tube? When new it will out-gas a little, especially if temperature set to max for highest humidity.

You would be used to the slight odor, so you wouldn't notice it.

RE: Smell possibly coming from my Resmed Airsense 10
Hi
I am using the Airsense 10 for more than a year now, and I also have a smell problem.
It started after a few weeks, and my machine was replaced. Unfortunately the smell returned with the new machine. I tried to rinse hose, mask and container, but no luck.
the only thing that improved the smell is going out of Auto humidifier mode to manual, level=1, which is a pity since one of the advantages of this machine is the climate control and heated tube.
I think the problem is not air filter or dirty tubing, since for many years I used the Respironice REMstar Auto M Series A flex, rarely cleaning the tube and without any smell!
so to me it seems there is some design problem in the Airsense 10.

Only use distilled water, not regular spring water
