Thanks Super Sleeper for your encouragement. This is such a fantastic form of support...I have learned SO much! Everyone is so supportive, and "gets" what it feels like to adjust to this new way of life.

Many thanks to all!! Thanks

Wait, you've not gotten the 'coffee or else' notice, have you?

Hint: SuperSleeper is addicted to the stuff. He can be frightening when he's not had his fix.

I firmly believe that the success of the Western World has been largely due to late night work sessions fueled by COFFEE.

It's the fuel of genius and innovation. Without it, Civilization is just too tired to go on.

I don't touch the stuff. Sometimes, if we are at a nice restaurant and the dessert is worthy, I'll have decaf.

My body does not like the caffeine in coffee at all.

RE: So, what inappropriate place have you fallen asleep?
Driving from Dallas, Tx to Redding, California (heading home for Christmas break), I fell asleep outside Riverside, CA at around midnight in the desert. Rolled my little Toyota truck at about 80mph. Crawled out and watched it burn until the police and fire trucks showed up. The illegal (practically military grade) fireworks that I picked up in Oklahoma and was transporting as a surprise Christmas present for my older brother caught fire and put on quite a show. We get 115 degree weather in Northern California, so no fireworks allowed in our county. That was in the early 90s. In my defense, I was all by myself and I had driven straight with no real breaks.

For the last couple years, I would fall asleep during movies, at stoplights, at doctor's offices, picnics in the park, out at the lake while everyone else is swimming and so forth. I never used any energy drinks. Only in the last few years have I gotten in the habit of having one cup of coffee in the morning. I bought my wife a Keurig and now I am addicted. I am still in the habit of ninja napping but at least my eyes don't roll back in my head at stoplights like they use to.
