Software for Mac?

Software for Mac?
Will any good software work with a Mac? Or am I going to have to buy a Windows machine? My BiPap is a PR System One BiPap Auto Bi-Flex 760P. I'm not looking to make a part-time job out of this, or even a hobby but I sure would like some reliable basic information.

I know I could get a dual boot set up for my Mac but they can be glitchy and don't work with all native Windows programs, plus you have to shut the computer down and reboot to change.

SleepyHead will run on anything.

old dude, if you so choose, you can run Windows from within OSX using a virtualization program like Parallels or VirtualBox. You'd still need to source a copy of Windows, but it's no longer necessary to dual-boot.

There is another option using CrossOver. CrossOver is a set of (code) libraries which emulates a Windows environment. That lets you run some Windows applications without actually having Windows. It's not guaranteed to work well for all applications but I do believe support has gotten much better.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a latest 0.9.3 build for Mac. It looks like the person who was maintaining the Mac builds of SleepyHead hasn't done so for this release.

HERE's the link to the latest available for Mac if someone wants to try it. It's v0.9.2-2 beta.

I can't seem to find a change log to tell you what's changed between 0.9.2-2 and 0.9.3-0.

I'm not sure what else, but support for the "60 Series" PRS1 machines is one of those changes.

When I discovered that older versions of Sleepyhead opened up in terminal, I ducked out. I wasn't quite ready for that, if you don't really know what you are doing while in terminal, you can really mess things up, (Ha-Ha-Ha.)
If you really understand how terminal works, you can do some neat things in it, from what I understand.

On a Mac, Terminal is essentially a shell prompt for the underlying UNIX operating system.

It's open source, so if you know how you can compile it from source.

I haven't looked at the source code structure for SleepyHead, but I do know that the windowing software requirements for Mac and for Windows differ significantly. I would expect at least a day's worth of work integrating the latest changes from Windows into the Mac source base to get a working 0.9.3 build for the Mac.

RE: Software for Mac?
It uses Qt4 for windowing, so theoretically should be cross-platform. I'm able to compile it in Ubuntu.

(hint: I'm experimenting with / putting together a guide for installing it, from source, on a linux virtual machine. That should enable everybody to always have the latest version, regardless of their host OS.)

If someone has a Mac and wants to write up a how-to on compiling the Mac build, that would maybe be useful.
