Sleep apnea is a blockage in the throat, so even though sinus surgery won't help with that, it could help you tolerate the therapy better.
I also experienced the issue with sweating but it subsided as I got used to the therapy.
The Simplus fits under the chin and eliminates leaks there. At least it works that way for me. You'd have to try it to see if it would work for you.
