[Symptoms] Triggers asthma everytime I try CPAP machine. Wondering if Alex or cflex+ would help

RE: Triggers asthma everytime I try CPAP machine. Wondering if Alex or cflex+ would help
I used the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her.  tried it on auto set, and also 6 and then 10.  tried various humidity setting and heated tube at various temperatures.  triggered my asthma almost every time.  I live in BC Canada just outside of Vancouver.
So glad I posted this.  Was made to feel like I was crazy for even suggesting it.
Going to give the puffers a fair try, and if and when that fails, I can say I did it your way now lets try it my way. and insist of trying bipap.
Thank you everyone for all the great ideas.  will look into them all, and keep you updated.

Schtweety, if you're game for this, If you still have a machine, please post your settings or some Sleepyhead data. You never know, we might be smart enough here to make it work.

Don't have a machine anymore. Have an appointment in 2 weeks to get fitted with a new machine. Specialist wants me to be on puffers for 2 full weeks before I try again. And just started them this morning. But as soon as I get a machine will put all the info in. Want to make a good choice in which machine I try. Thank you for all your help

The best option for you in CPAP is going to be the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset or Elite. Both have data. The Autoset is auto-pressure, and the Elite is fixed pressure. These offer up to 3 cm H2O of exhale pressure relief (EPR) which we can use as up to 3 cm of bilevel pressure support. A poor choice would be any Philips Respironics Dreamstation or other CPAP brand. I'd rather use a bilevel, but I can get you close using the Resmed units. Note the Resmed Airsense 10 "CPAP" has no data and won't tell us if we are making progress or not.

Pardon my ignorance, but what are "Puffers"?

No personal experience... just wondering... any chance mask leaks or mouth leaks dry the airways and trigger asthma?
