RE: TOO MUCH PRESSURE
Most people misuse the word flow and the word pressure.
The blower can create a large flow trying to produce what is in fact a small pressure. That 5 to 20 is centimeters of water pressure -- won't even blow up a balloon. Admin Note:

RE: TOO MUCH PRESSURE
That is some kind of cryptic post. Here is a link on accessing settings http://www.apneaboard.com/resmed-s9-cpap-setup
If your settings are 5-20, what is your average pressure? Should be visible on the screen with or without the data card. I think you need to work on mask leaks, but we're going to need more details.

RE: TOO MUCH PRESSURE
markhy,
We really could use some information from you. How long have you been on cpap therapy? How old is your machine? If your minimum pressure is set at 5cm.....there is nowhere for it to ramp up to. Are you using software? If not, download #SleepyHead. We can help you narrow that pressure range. Do you have the Clinicians manual for your machine? Ask for it here: http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pr...tup-manual

If you navigate the clinician menu, you can find the total hours on the machine. If > 15,000 then it's past E.O.L. Please respond in longer sentences; and with more detail. Else, I conclude your machine is toast. Admin Note:

RE: TOO MUCH PRESSURE
Have you tried setting the maximum pressure to a lower setting?
How about changing from Autoset to CPAP mode?

RE: TOO MUCH PRESSURE
If the machine is malfunctioning, then you will need a new one, or you may have a service agreement with your supplier. I don't know any way you can repair this kind of malfunction yourself. Is this a machine provided through insurance? On Monday morning you should contact your supplier about a replacement or loaner, pending repair. If you are uninsured, or have high deductibles, there may be ways to obtain a reasonably priced machine quickly.
