Taking a leap

RE: Taking a leap
You are - large leak and intentional leak are two different things. Tightening may not be the answer, btw. However, I am not an expert at fitting FFMs, and you may want to ask some of the FFM wearers on the board how to get a better fit.

Hi DocWils,
Being that you use a P10 mask, what resistance control setting do you use on your system one machine?

AshSF,
So according to the resistance chart, I should be using X4 for a size small pillow.
Does that sound about right?

I ask because my DME told me to leave it on 0 or off. I'm curious to see if there is a noticeable difference.

I'll have to look, but I seem to recall it was X1 or 2.

X3 or X4. Don't think it makes too much of a difference between 3 & 4 so you can try either.

I don't want to trade him machines very bad - I am leery of swapping germs Tongue

ResMed machines tend to jump the pressure much more quickly, which some patients have found bothersome and have changed brands.

What at first bothered me greatly when using a PRS1 machine during a titration was that I was used to the ResMed version of EPR and the PRS1 version (A-Flex) felt very annoying to me. Probably would have been just a matter of getting used to it, but instead I asked that it be turned off.

When swapping machines, each can keep their hose and mask, swapping only the machine itself.
