The next Respironics machine
#11
I figure the Bluetooth is to get the data to the doc, not the patient, more efficiently, probably a remote monitoring situation. We have more than a few devices now that we give our patients to take home and monitor them that way, either fully remotely or by their connecting their phone or computer to the internet and triggering a download to us. Since Philips does not happily make their readout software available to the patient (you CAN buy it for around $900 or something equally ridiculous (or that may be the server version), but you have to jump through hoops for it) - Philips view seems pretty much that only a trained professional should be allowed to look at the data (given that, it is amazing that the Sleepyhead guys got the necessary information to make a reader for it, and well done indeed!).
