To C-Collar or not to C-Collar

RE: To C-Collar or not to C-Collar
The soft cervical collar is both a therapy aid and a training aid. Many people find they no longer need it once they achieve a sleep position that does not contribute to apnea. it's there to keep you from flexing your neck so your airway is compromised. Once the habit is changed, it may be possible to sleep without the collar.

But the damage has been done, since I've had two DVT/PE's (blood clots in lungs), and now my SpO2 only goes up to 94-95%. And I'm only 47yo. I wish I would've got my BILEVEL machine and started therapy 10 years ago, when I started noticing issues with my heart. But no doctor ever mentioned to have a sleep study at that time.

I had 95-96% for as long as I know and did not have any PTE afaik, actually it never occured to me that 95% from the book could be less than normal. But I did went a long way before CPAP so... I may not be so young as in my passport.

Afib though indicates a circulatory problem, so I`d check the coronaries or better I`d do a stress ultrasound first (you roll on a bike while the doc watches your clock under ultrasound).
