RE: ASV settings for treatment of complex sleep apnea
Finally got my sleep study results and it has confirmed my thoughts.
I slept 284 minutes (significant improvement from first study which was only 132 minutes). I had no slow wave sleep (only 1.1% in first study) and 47 mins of rem sleep (16.5%, had none in first test). Poor sleep stage architecture.
I only had 9 respiratory related arousals, upon my request they let me use CPAP for most of the night and tried titrating fixed pressures (no PS/EPR) from 6 up to 12 cm. The doctors interpretation is that I don't appear to need CPAP (neither PSG supports it being necessary).
Now the issue, 176 total arousals (37.1/hr, most spontaneous). Better than first study of 54.1/hr though... This study doesn't comment on presence of bruxism but the tech did so I will have to follow up on that to understand its presence/significance.
Anyways just sharing hoping you have figured out a way to get PSG/titration data to move forward on your case, it is probably what is required to confirm if breathing is an issue or if something else is like in my case.
