So far however it looks promising.
Not only my mouth was not dry and aerophagia got lighter, but also all the OA and HA was reduced to 0.
I had CA though. Let’s see where this setting will lead.
But man, it’s already better then dreamstation!

I’ll need few more nights to tell more, and will try EPR 3 too,

Quick update - I will upload screens later today.
Epr 2 - slight aerophagia. Something I could live with or maybe even would get better with time. Epr 3 - aerophagia completely gone. Settings tested so far Pressure 7/10 epr 2 - 3 days Slight aerophagia, average ahi 0.5 with 0.2 centrals Pressure 7/10 epr 3 - 7 days No aerophagia. Ahi steadily increasing. Soft response mode checked for 2 nights. No change. Got back to standard response. Ahi went up from 0.3 to 0.9-1.2 with centrals up to 0.6 Pressure 7/10 epr 2 - 1 day Ahi 1.2, central 0.6, slight aerophagia. So my ahi steadily went up, with consistent centrals. I went back to epr 2 and will try it for few days checking if my body will get used to new epr setting and if centrals will get down. If not I’ll try slightly higher pressure to check if Overall Ahi will get down. Edit: With EPR 2 my sleep tend to be shorter, around 7h. With EPR 3 I can sleep up to 9h. I’m not sure if I’m more rested with 9 hours though.

OK besides the event increase, how did you sleep? Myself I can get good sleep with the session report of AHI 3 or less. It need not be flat zeros. Just that you slept well.

There is difference between 1.2 and 0.5 in how I feel overall.
I don’t have brain fog anymore but depends on AHI I need time in the morning to start up. I’m on Resmed for only 2 weeks. If I can tune it better, I want to do it. If it won’t be possible after few tries, let’s be it as it is now. For now I’m afraid that my body adjust to new machine and new settings and I’ll have to tune it a little bit more - increase pressure maybe. (for DS optimal was 8.5)

With CAI related to pressure support or EPR, it is sometimes possible to conserve a small amount of exhaled air for rebreathing. This increases CO2 and can offset the effects of EPR by increasing and stabilizing respiratory drive. It's a bit of a DIY at this point. EERS http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...ace_(EERS)

EERS http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...ace_(EERS) Thank you for sharing this thread. I have read it previously and keep it on mind in case CA would get worse. It’s seems however, that I just had to get used to new machine. CA is back to 0.2 levels with sporadic jumps up to 0.6. The same situation as on DS. I have also got used to EPR 2 and aerophagia is OK. Average AHI is 0.7 so I really can’t complain now. I don’t have to sleep long anymore also. After change to Resmed my sleeping time got longer, but after 2 weeks it’s back to normal length. Over all feel better now. Thank you all for help and support!

RE: Koala1 - Moving to Resmed, aerophagia, please help with optimization
3 weeks after switching to Resmed I realised I feel worse then on DS.
Even if AHI levels were similar, lower min pressure on Resmed was not doing any good. That is why I changed to min 8.4 pressure as on DS I had it set to 8.5. Interestingly aerophagia is not a problem. It’s not getting worse after gradual change from min 7.0. What I have to look for is taping my mouth correctly. I realised that if they are not shut completely I have strong aerophagia… Anyway after a week on 8.4 it seems getting better. I’m more rested again and my dreams are back. Hope it will stay that way. Btw. On 8.4 Ahi is even lower with numbers between 0.1 and 0.4.

RE: Koala1 - Moving to Resmed, aerophagia, please help with optimization
Update after 6 weeks on Resmed.
I have settled with min 8 pressure and EPR 2 but aerophagia showed again. Tried to wait if it will be gone but no, it’s still there. AHI is low on average. Around 0.5 and CA is about 0.1. I realised Im trying to breathe OUT air that gets to my mouth but as I use tape, it ends in weird sound coming out of my mouth and I wake up. Considering this I wonder if I should try 1. Epr 3 - and risk increase in CA 2. Full face mask Any recommendations?

On EPR 3 this night aerophagia was even worse then on 2
I’m not sure if EPR has any influence anymore

FFM for 2 nights so far.
Ahi 0.0 and 0.1 (CA), the latter is after drinking also. Very slight aerophagia today. On the first night there was none. If it will keep up this way then FFM is way to go for me. |
