[Treatment] Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto

Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto
Hello, I have a dreamstation which i never could get used to.. nice 700$ waste.  I recently ordered a sp02 monitor and noticed overnight my levels would bottom out in the 70s to even mid 60s sometimes , so this was alarming for me again.. Plus i've been tired. Anyway, i posted on reddit and someone recommended i give bi-lateral a try since my main issue with the original cpap, i felt like i was going to suffocate and couldn't handle the constant airflow when exhaling. So someone recommended this as an option. I don't have $1500 laying around, so i decided to check some places and found a used one for $275 . All parts included w/mask etc.. It all turns on etc..  in clinician mode it says it was used 69 hours, so fairly low use i guess.  So not bad. Anyway, i have some questions... I signed up for the resmed account. I entered serial etc.. all logged ok

First question,   Data for their service.. Will this be transferred automatically even though i don't have cdma service? the cdma service bars look fine, but i don't know how that works on these 2nd hand machines.  If it doesn't, then what do i do? Download OSCAR or something ?  It does have a SD card. I have it running right now to move some air around, so ill see if anything transfer later... i guess? I don't know heh.

Second question -   THERAPY and settings.. .Any tips on setting this up? I can give my dreamstation setup information, can that be converted over to this bilateral vauto machine?

I'd rather not have to take the machine to get setup in office, but if that's the ONLY option i will... i am not even sure if this will work for me. I am hopeful though.. The numbers my so2 monitor gave me over a week period were scary...  So i am trying to do something about it.

A Resmed aircurve v10 aut0 is a terrific deal for $275. Be sure to reformat the SD card. It will have data from the previous user. I don't know about the MyAir connection but the reports aren't worth much anyway. You should definitely download OSCAR. You may want to be careful about using a mask that's been used by someone else. If nothing else, be sure to give it a thorough cleaning. If you were comfortable with the mask you used with the dreamstation I suggest you use that. Ditto for the hose.  Do you have a copy of your sleep study report? If so, please post it with personal information redacted. Please post the entire study, not just the summary. We will be especially inteested in knowing if you had significant central apnea. Your dreamstation settings may be helpful although it sounds like they weren't optimal for you.

Welcome to the forum.

Your current machine settings are a place to start, but first, do a Factory Reset. It may only have 69 hrs on the blower but you don't know what settings were changed. Which machine do you have, be specific. You said bilateral, I assume you mean BiLevel, so which series, AirCurve 10 and which model, S, ST, VAuto, ASV are the common ones, there are more.

There are several AirCurve 10 models, VAuto, S, ST, and the ASV. The model is listed on the lower right, below the AirCurve 10 Label. Which one do you have? This will determine your setup options.

Yeah i reset it and erased data and set to factory defaults. i put it in cpap mode with EPR OFF.. i'd like to use my dreamstation stuff but it appears the host doesn't fit. I might have another hose here, i forgot if it came with 2.. or i had bought the heated one and threw other out., which i might have done. I can always buy a new hose, if it will work with my dreamstation mask.

The non heated hoses should be interchangeable, make sure you don’t have a hard plastic Dreamware quick release adapter jammed in one end of the hose
