[Treatment] Seeking Advice On Treating My Sleep Apnea

RE: Seeking Advice On Treating My Sleep Apnea
Since the air seems to leak into only one eye, have you thought of using an pirate's eye patch to see if that will help? I think finding the right mask will be your best solution and as others have said, getting the right mask for your face is often a lot of trial an error. However, an eye patch is something quick to try. Your pharmacy should have one. If it doesn't work you can save it for your next pirate adventure.

RE: Seeking Advice On Treating My Sleep Apnea
Hello, I saw the second ENT and they gave me a prescription nasal spray (takes about a week to take effect) to reduce inflammation in my nose so my ears don't pop. I have started using the nasal pillows again and while I need to readjust to them, I have noticed a difference. I am seeing some other specialists regarding the surgery. This ENT said the reason I should consider surgery to have my tonsils and some other tissues removed is that besides they are part of the reason for my sleep apnea, as I get older these muscles will weaken and make it worse. The ENT also said the surgery might not cure the apnea, hopefully should help it, but I need to think of it as a preventative measure for the future since I already have severe apnea now.

My S-9 is the Escape. I have used a couple different pirate eye patches and found they didn't help.

The Escape does not tell you or your doctors anything useful in term how the therapy is working for you or if any adjustment is required other than how many hours using the machine for insurance requirement

Those smart doctors should at least make sure your machine is data capable machine so they can monitor the treatment and make sure the therapy is optimized for you before talking surgery
