[Treatment] Still Tired
#1
Still Tired
Hi there,

I have been very tired for a number of years.  The doctors told me for the longest time it was depression, so I tried just about all the medications and I tried therapy to no avail.  I finally had enough and in the summer of 2019, I demanded a sleep study.

I had the sleep study and it confirmed that I did indeed have sleep apnea, however insurance denied the titration study, so my sleep doctor set my CPAP to a constant pressure of 10.  A few months later, I was still complaining of constant tiredness, the doctor ordered the titration study and this time the insurance covered it.  I now have my CPAP in APAP mode with a minimum pressure of 10 and a maximum pressure of 16.

I have felt a slight improvement since these changes were made, but I am still feeling quite tired most of the time.  Attached is what seems to be a typical night looking at the data in the OSCAR program.  I do have the occasional night with far fewer apneas and I seem to feel best of those days.   I do not see my sleep doctor again until March 11th.  I was hoping some of you could help shine some light on what is going on in the meant time Smile

Thank you!

RE: Still Tired
You AHI number is good. The CA events may be treatment emergent and will probably gradually decrease. You do have flow limitations which are driving the pressure up which may be disrupting your sleep. They may be reduced by increasing EPR from 2 to 3.

RE: Still Tired
Since the end of August 2019. I had second sleep study in early January 2020 and the pressure change was made a week or two later.
