Titration questions
I have my sleep lab titration on Wednesday of next week is it appropriate for me to bring my own mask and tubing that i am comfortable with?

Call the sleep center and ask what you are allowed to bring. When I had my titration, they told me to bring my own bed pillow if I wanted, but was not allowed to bring a mask. I didn't own one to bring anyway.

Shoot, just take it - it's not that large - if they won't let you use it, no real loss.
The good side is that if you Don't take it - they will give you probably several to choose from and you may find a mask you prefer over what you have now. Finding a mask that is effective and comfortable is 90% of this battle. I would hope they would do anything they can to make you more comfortable and get a more accurate study. But then, I've only ever had the one sleep study, and left there with a P10 for Her that I absolutely hate. Still, seems to me that if you already have a preferred mask, they'd want to titrate you in that since that is what you're likely to use once you go home. Good Luck! Dave |
