[Treatment] Zzyzx - Looking for Tips
#21
RE: Zzyzx - Looking for Tips
Do you know what is causing the allergies/congestion?

If not I would recommend trying food elimination diets of the main allergens (dairy, wheat/gluten, soy, nuts etc). My congestion issue was mostly caused by a dairy intolerance.

Edit: You don't have to do them all at once. Group them as is tolerable from a diet standpoint, remove for 4-8 weeks then try slowly reincorporatiing to see if symptoms come back.

I'm currently getting allergy shots, as my identified allergens have been pollen.

I have noticed that most days my AHI is fairly low, around 0-2, which seems to be on goal, but then every so often, I get a day that's closer to 10 (see attached.) Is this just something that happens from time to time, because the machine is bouncing off the 15cmH2O limit and needs to go higher, or something else?

Once again, I appreciate all the help you all have provided so far.

The large cluster of OA starting at 2 and the smaller clusters at 4:20 and 6:20 are typical of positional apnea, probably due to tucking your chin to your chest which compromises the airway. See this link for an explanation http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...onal_Apnea Your machine is increasing pressure to overcome the restriction but no amount of pressure will resolve he problem. You need to eliminate the positional element. I may just require a flatter pillow. One effective solution that works for many including me is a soft cervical collar. See the link below for more info.
