Two machines on SD card

Two machines on SD card
Hi Everyone,

I went to import data into OSCAR for the first time this morning and got the message that my REMStar Pro generated data that OSCAR has never seen before.

I didn't think anything of it as I am using a DreamStation Auto that I bought certified refurbished from the local DME. When I look at the report from OSCAR I see the machines and my guess is the DME didn't delete the machine from the SD card.

I generated a ZIP of the SD card if wanted but wondered if I delete the other machine from the SD Card what I would need to do in OSCAR to remove the REMStar.

It looks like if I delete the folder called P13043209753C that I would be left with my DreamStation data. Just not sure how to go about it as Windows won't show contents without locking the SD card. May have to see if Linux will let me read contents without it being locked.

I tried to post images but I'm not allowed as a newb  Too-funny

Yes, please upload the zip to:

https://www.dropbox.com/request/6VeFzBXa4qZ37EgphL5b

Then we can take a look at that strange old REMStar Pro data!

In the mean time, the easiest thing for you is probably to set the "Do not import sessions older than X" preference. And you can get rid of the already-imported REMStar via Data > Advanced > Purge ALL Machine Data > (REMStar machine).

Thanks, I have uploaded the SD card zip.

I also deleted the old REMStar data and set the import preferences.

Once you have imported the good data from the card, you could reformat it and start fresh with your Dreamstation.

Thanks, didn't think of that.

I have formatted the card since it was imported into OSCAR.

Beyond the data contained on the SD card is the chip-level data that is contained within the device itself and the linkage between the device and monitoring programs. I received a loaner from my DME for a modem replacement and they had to reset the internal identification data that was written to the SD card.

You may wish to ask your DME if any internal identification data beyond the serial number and hours used must be reset.

That is a good point.

I did end up formatting the SD card before I saw your post and I only see the folder for the dream station. OSCAR only sees the one machine as well.
