I don’t think I like humidification - is that normal?

I use my humidifier on the lowest setting, and it seems just right for me. I can’t go totally without though. I’ve also tried higher settings, but too much humidity causes me to feel congested in the morning.

It’s perfectly normal if you don’t like it and want to go without. We all have different needs, so do what feels best for you.

It IS all about comfort, and that's why the option is there.  In my case, in the Pacific NW of the Continent, there isn't much call for humidity.  In fact, in the winter, it pours here, the ground is soggy, some shrubs get mildew on their branch tips.  I use the lowest possible setting, and that seems to work just fine.  Were I not a tapist, and somehow managed to sleep with air blasting out of my open mouth, I would surely need the maximum.  Probably more than that.

We each need to find our own path.  Find it, stay on it, and try to stay healthy.

I don't think it necessary or even desirable in many instances. I don't use one when I travel and no problem. I often don't use one at home, except when the air is too dry because of the furnace keeping humidity at a low point.

If you don't use humidification, you are getting exactly the same humidity in the air you are breathing as your bedmate gets that is not wearing a CPAP. Or the kids down the hall. Exactly the same.
