Use APAP to approx. current AHI.

Use APAP to approx. current AHI.
In another thread that is now closed QAL mentioned that you could use your APAP to approximate your current untreated AHI.
Is this true?
I have lost a lot of weight and am interested in whether it has helped.
Min 6 with max 6.5  were the settings stated.
Would lower settings produce a better approximation?

RE: Use APAP to approx. current AHI.
Lower would be better, but you may feel air-starved at lower pressures.  Try it and see if you can tolerate it.  You will need a good night's sleep to get an accurate idea of your AHI, better would be a few nights so that you can be sure the readings are consistent.   Or you may wake up feeling bad and decided to abandon the idea.   Smile

Please let us know how it turns out.
