Early in 2019 he was diagnosed with sleep apnea using a home sleep study. He got a Cpap machine but couldn't get used to it and returned the machine.
I started with an AirCurve 10 VAuto but needed to upgrade to an AVAPS. I bought an AirCurve 10 VAuto on Craigslist before I was upgraded to my current machine.
He is at a place where he wants to try to use a machine again. He is currently in process of getting the sleep study results from his doctor.
I told him that I have the AirCurve and I know that it can be set to Cpap settings.
Question: If the AirCurve settings are switched to CPAP with his pressure settings from the sleep study, is using the machine this way exactly the same as if he were using an AirSense? Or is he better off trying to get an actual Cpap machine?
He wants to try under the radar basically so there is no pressure to use the machine for a certain amount of hours to meet insurance requirements as he is getting started again.
