Water usage
Can anyone advise why my machine would use water, when the humidifier is set to off
Happy sleeping

RE: Water usage
There's still airflow over the water surface, isn't there? I know there is on my machine (S9 Auto). Clothes I hang on the washing line still dry if it's windy enough, even if it's cold

RE: Water usage
Passive evaporation. The "pass-over" method allows humidification based on the ambient air temperature and current humidity level. This will prevent rainout as well.

RE: Water usage
I was using water in tank but humidifier off "mode" recently, but then it got dry enough in the house that I had to turn the humidifier (heater) on to "1". We keep our bedroom fairly cool, so for anything more than that "1", I have to break out the heated hose to prevent rainout (tried a "2", but got a trace of water in mask).
