Weird issues

RE: Weird issues
robotman,
See a specialist, a good ENT doctor!
Your problem isn't likely caused by CPAP use. It may be a coincidence that your symptoms started at same time. A good doctor will send you for an MRI or schedule an endoscopy. Don't ignor your symptoms! Again, see an ENT doctor.

RE: Weird issues
@eseedhouse Sorry to hear about your mental illness. It's not psychosomatic, however, thank you very much. I do use inhalers, but I do rinse it out properly.

@3porpoise It was just some doctor at the clinic.

@OpalRose Maybe. That would entail making an appointment with my gp, getting the referral, and then waiting (probably for a long time - wait times to see the sleep specialist, for instance, are like a year).

*Sigh*

RE: Weird issues
Doctor says I have laryngitis!

I guess that would explain it. Hope it clears up soon.

RE: Weird issues

I see something that I was sort of confused and somewhat shocked about. At about 0900 the minute ventilation was so high and remained so high. I have never seen this. Maybe I am just sheltered, but that looks extremely high. Is this hyperventilation? For nearly 10 minutes?

Hyperventilation for very long can cause many problems. It alters the pH of the blood, causing a condition called respiratory alkalosis.

Were you sleeping at this time?

Do you remember waking up in panic, any aches and pains?

Can you check another night and see if there are periods of 5 minutes or more of this same phenomenon? (minute ventilation staying above 20 L/min.)

Stick with it, robotman!

Honestly, I don't know. Sometimes I have to go against the flow to breathe with the machine. Could that be it?

RE: Weird issues
Next time you post a graph, try minimizing the calendar and maybe the pie chart so the statistics table shows on the left. It has useful information and includes the minimum, average 95% minute vent and tidal volume.
