What is " Auto CPAP mode"?
Hi...

I am looking at buying a replacement machine because mine is about dead.  I have and want a bypap unit.  One unit I looked at had what is called a " Auto CPAP mode".  Can someone tell me what that is?

Thanks

Auto mode allows you to set a pressure range from a minimum to maximum and the auto Cpap or bipap will work within that set range during the night to give you the exact pressure you need at any given time.

an auto cpap isn't a bipap/bilevel machine.

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.

Thanks aJack.  I have a dead bypap machine now, so I am going to move to another bypap.  I decided on the DreamStation Auto BiPAP DSX700T11.

The model numbers and names arwere confusing to me.  I think I have the right model number now.

Thanks
