What is Hypopnea?
What is the relationship of hypopnea to sleep apnea. Generally, my AHI in the morning is total <5. but has gone up to 7 on rare occasion. Recently, AHI <3. But it's mostly 2:1 hypopnea:unclassified. I'm well rested. I've found AHI is lower sleeping on my side and nasal breathing, if possible. At this point, I'm not troubled.

RE: What is Hypopnea?
Obstructive, Hypopnea and flow limits are all apnea, they differ on how much obstruction and duration. O & H must be at least 10 seconds or they will not be registered. FL are not timed so they could be only a few seconds. I have listed the classifications in my signature...

RE: What is Hypopnea?
I have noticed in OSCAR that an occasional hypopnea will have a duration -- is that coming from the ResMed data? Is there something that causes these events to be reported differently?
Also I've seen an occasional OA that is flagged and has duration of either 8 or 9 seconds. Again, this is a ResMed thing not an OSCAR thing, right?

RE: What is Hypopnea?
I have only seen trimmed OA and H (and centrals) events having 10 sec or longer. Pause the pointer over the event a number is ther - that is the seconds.
