If you are ok with nasal pillow masks, then you would eventually end up with the Resmed P10.

Resistance is futile!!

The P10s are not only quiet, but they almost totally diffuse the exhaust air.

Nothing compares to the quiet of the P10 mask.
I’ve tried a few masks, not because I’m unhappy with the P10, but sometimes like to try different ones. I always go back to the P10.

As with all things CPAP, there are ALWAYS personal idiosyncrasies that can make a difference.

I moved to the Resmed P10 a year ago.   Both my spouse and I found it much quieter than anything I had previously tried, AND it fit me better than any previous masks, BUT it still dislodged occasionally if I turned in my sleep, causing a leak which then would wake up either my spouse or me.  Or the tubing would wrap around my neck and disrupt my sleep.  So while it was the best mask I had yet tried, it was still frustrating.

I have now switched to Resmed P30.  Interesting, it sounds/feels slightly louder to me, I think because of having the airtubes along the sides of the head vibrating through my skull.  BUT, I'm getting used to it, and am sleeping much better because it dislodges less frequently and I don't get a tube wrapping around my neck.  Most importantly, my spouse says it is much quieter and so is sleeping better too.   Oh, and my AHI seems to be down too.

My conclusion:   finding the right mask is a complex, personal, multi-variate puzzle.  While helpful to know which masks excel on which attributes, one can't make a wise decision based on a single attribute alone.
