What settings are submitted in prescription for ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto?

What settings are submitted in prescription for ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto?
My gut feeling is that the DME is going to give my doctor the runaround when he submits the prescription for the new machine.
I want to make this as hassle-free as possible for the doctor.
I have already witnessed an hour of phone calls and call transfers and call wait times/on holds during a couple of visits when it came to dealing with the insurance company and prescribing medications that are approved for coverage.

Switching from the Dreamstation that I have to the ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto;
What settings need to be included in the prescription so that they don't keep delaying and stating that he hasn't provided enough information.
I ask because when I was talking to the DME, it was stressed more than once that as long as the prescription was complete and accurate that they would fill it.
So this makes me think that they will make an attempt to give the doctor and myself the runaround for as long as they can.

The settings I can remember in the Dreamstation that I think pertain to it's prescription:
Flex:1
Humidity: 3
Humidification: Adaptable
EPAP: 10.0
IPAP: 14.0
Ramp: 8
Ramp Time: 20
Tube Type: 15
Mask Type: X2
BiLevel
Tube Temp: 3
Smart On
Flex: BiFlex
Automatic On: Off
Automatic Off: Off

I think that's everything that matters. Prolly more than matters?

What would the comparable settings for the prescription towards the ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto be?

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

The prescription simply calls for the following. Being more general except for the machine offers more flexibility.
E0470 Auto Bilevel: fill as Resmed Airsense 10 Vauto.
Mode: Vauto
EPAP min: 8.0
IPAP max: 18.0
PS: 4.0
E0562 Heated Humidifier set to patient comfort
A4604 Heated tubing set to patient comfort
A7039 Filter and replacement supplies as needed or allowed
A7034 Nasal interface and cushion(s) Size and style of patient choice and replacement supplies as needed or allowed
A7035 Headgear and replacement supplies as needed or allowed
Patient choice on comfort settings.

Edit: Fred posted while I was doing this post. This post has settings characteristic of an auto bilevel and brackets your current settings. These settings can only be met using an auto bilevel. The numbers are HCPCS billing codes and in many cases need to be specified in a prescription. The DME will use the codes in filling the order.

So it doesn't need to have DAW
EPAP: 10.0
IPAP: 14.0
or was it that you weren't including those settings because bonjour mentioned them?

and just make sure that the prescription looks like:
E0470 Auto Bilevel: fill as Resmed Airsense AirCurve 10 Vauto.
Mode: Vauto
EPAP min: 8.0
IPAP max: 18.0
PS: 4.0
E0562 Heated Humidifier set to patient comfort
A4604 Heated tubing set to patient comfort
A7039 Filter and replacement supplies as needed or allowed
A7034 Nasal interface and cushion(s) Size and style of patient choice and replacement supplies as needed or allowed
A7035 Headgear and replacement supplies as needed or allowed
Patient choice on comfort settings.

Can it be word for word what you've got written here or is the stuff after the codes inferred? Sorry, I'm not sure whats implied and such.

SleepRider was more inclusive on supplies than I was.
He said fill as instead of DAW, I prefer DAW
I was setting it up as manual mode with the same settings so as not to second guess your doctor figuring we can change settings after you get the machine.  The most important part is to specifically request the VAuto.

Ok, I think I'll try to make sure it is similar to:

E0470 Auto Bilevel - Dispense as Written: Resmed AirCurve 10 VAuto.
Mode: VAuto
EPAP: 10.0 (not sure)
IPAP: 14.0 (not sure)
EPAP min: 8.0
IPAP max: 18.0
PS: 4.0
E0562 Heated Humidifier set to patient comfort
A4604 Heated tubing set to patient comfort
A7039 Filter and replacement supplies as needed or allowed

Leaving off the mask script stuff since my prescription on those supplies are already performed and satisfactory.

I would include the mask stuff

Mask interface and cushion(s) Size and style of patient choice and replacement supplies as needed or allowed

simply to keep it all in one Rx (easier to track) My change above allows a full face mask and allows you the choice. I see no reason to limit this.

RE: What settings are submitted in prescription for ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto?
There was a slight delay in the process. There was a setting that wasn't clear I guess on the suppliers part.
I do not know where the confusion was but the Dr. took care of it.

So FINALLY TONIGHT!!!! I have my ResMed. WOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question about the tube setting. The PR DS had a 15mm tube. What is the comparable on a ResMed? It's currently set at SlimLine. I am guessing it should be set at standard for the tube size.

I'll get back to ya all with some results with my new machine.

Thank you all so much for your help!
