RE: Which ResMed machines support which modes
Thanks SR that saved me some reading. :-)
Maybe the marketing team drank too much coffee that day?
It seems like ResMed had to do a whole bunch of re-branding & manufacturing/logistics changes involving different model-name etchings and stickers and manuals for a somewhat "trivial" difference.
Perhaps the initial offering only had the lower max pressure and then they got customer feedback asking for higher pressure so they had to rush out a COPD upgrade? Who knows?

RE: Which ResMed machines support which modes
This is probably the final version of the spreadsheet unless anyone can help with the odds-and-sods from the S7 series.
I just hooked up my (S9) Lumis Tx to my titration system to see if the firmware would auto-upgrade to add in the AutoSet-For-Her mode - but it didn't do that.
However, when I hooked up my S9-VPAP-Tx titration machine, the firmware DID upgrade to add in the AutoSet-For-Her mode.
Nevertheless, due to the fact that the Lumis Tx writes to an SDCard and does not require a TxLink titration system, it is by far the BEST available (non ventilator) machine from ResMed and implements all the modes (except Autoset-For-Her).
Is anyone in Australia or Europe reading this who can clarify the differences between these two models for me please?
Lumis 150 VPAP ST
Lumis 150 VPAP ST-A
I think they are the same machine, but the ST-A has alarms:
Resmed Wrote:Alarms for monitoring and confidence
A set of fixed and adjustable alarms is also available to help you
personalise therapy for your patients. Alarms that you can set are
high leak, low minute ventilation, apnoea, non-vented mask and
low Sp02 (when an oximeter is connected).
Machine: Needing iVAPS but QUACKS refusing to help but they love testing Mask Type: Not using mask Mask Make & Model: F&P Vitera on shelf Humidifier: None/nada CPAP Pressure: 0-0 pressure set CPAP Software: Not using software
Other Comments: SCS PVC K9D** Untreated CA Asthma Dr. Donothings
FWIW at least on US versions of the ResMed 10 series ST-A, the power cord connection on the machine has a lock, keeping the cord securely fastened.

We are working with Mal777 in this thread with his new Lumis 150 ST-A http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...PS-Therapy Interesting to note this machine has iVAPS and an auto EPAP capability. I think the ST lacks iVAPS and offers CPAP, VPAP-S, ST, T and PCM.

RE: Which ResMed machines support which modes
It gets confusing doesn't it?
I have confirmed that the Australian Lumis 150 ST and ST-A both have the same modes (including iVAPS with iBR and AutoEPAP)
The difference is the orange light alarm module
However, in the USA, the AirCurve ST and ST-A are different animals with different modes.
The US ST does not have iVAPS but the US ST-A does.
Why the heck ResMed don't create a spreadsheet like this is a mystery to me.
I'm sure it would help a lot of people see the wood for the trees if they did.
Oh well.. it gives me something to do. ;-)
These are the fact sheets that explain it all for the Australian machines
