Who ordered the hail?
#1
My wife and I were driving home from Sam's Club this afternoon, when the heavens opened up and the hail came down! I believe that was the first time I'd ever driven through hail the size of golf balls. Man were those suckers loud when they hit the hood, (sun) roof, and sides of the car. I was sure that the windows were going to shatter under the onslaught of hail. Oh-jeez

By the time we got home, we'd driven through three of these things (or maybe three times through the same storm). After getting the car into the garage, we noted that the horizontal surfaces have little dimples in them - though none broke thru the paint. Banana

Still not sure the hearing has returned to normal; my head feels like it was inside a large bell when someone rang it!!!!!

We didn't get any of that hail and I live about 3 hours north of you.

Check with your insurance company about getting the dimples repaired, unless you like the golf ball look. Actually I heard that a strong plunger works on pulling out tiny dents, but you want to check in an inconspicuous area first. I'm not sure where that would be on a car.

Sue and I had the same thought. We had been out cycling on the Monon trail earlier in the day; returned home around noon. Storms hit about 4:45.

Well, that's one more reason for folks to wear bicycle helmets. A few baseball-sized hail projectiles coming down at terminal velocity on top of the head can ruin your whole day. Sad
