Sleeping wedge question

RE: Sleeping wedge question
GasX and charcoal won't help because it is air, not gas. Two different things. Have you tried raising the bed itself and not you personally? That way it raises your whole body, including your belly.

Hi PaulaO2. I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say raising the bed itself? Do you mean putting the wedge under the mattress? Let me know. Thanks

???

I think there is antibiotics for that. Don't delay. Fever

I am a side sleeper and I also use a wedge; I find it the only comfortable sleeping position for someone with ankylosing spondilitis, which means I can't sleep at all on a flat surface; I am literally a round peg in a square hole. It has not seemed to cause AHI issues, but then I slept this way for a long time before xPAP (or the clap).

Raising my bed is what I was referring to. Place 2-2x6 (3") under the head legs, then a single 2x6 under the middle legs to raise the bed. If you use 4-2x6 (6") on the head and 2-2x6 in the middle, that is when you need velcro pajamas.

What sgearhart said. Put a few 2x4s under the feet of the headboard. Screw them together to make it stable. If it works, screw a lid big enough for the feet onto the boards where the feet rest. this will help keep the feet in place and keep heart attacks at bay (when the bed falls off in the middle of the night...).

OOPS on the Clap ;-), I meant the Cpap, no antibiotics necessary

RE: Sleeping wedge question
I chickened after using the wedge for a bit, threw it on the floor and woke up with an ahi of .1 using my regular pillow . If it ain't broke, don't fix it .
