Why is my AHI worse the last few hours of sleep?

9.0 cm is not a lot of pressure. My minimum EPAP is 9 and i have IPAP 12 on top of that. Things go up from there. You will have to be the judge if the pressure is uncomfortable. I find it pretty nice. You will significantly reduce your event rate. Do what you must, but you need the higher pressure.

Your chart shows a lot of hypopnea & OSAs at pressures below 8-9.

In my view it is kind of a 6 of one and half a dozen of the other thing. The conservative approach if you are at 6 cm, would be to go up in steps of 1 cm and see what you achieve at each step. Then you can stop when the event count is to your satisfaction and when you are OK with the pressure. The "go for broke" would be to go to 9 in one jump. Little risk either way. Suspect the end point will be about 8.5, so that is why I suggested 8 for a first step. I guess we have to keep reminding ourselves that it is not a race. We have the rest of our lives to get it right!!!

Very much so.......I took it real easy and made very very gradual changes. I ended up where all the gurus advised me to. They had seen it before, they had a feeling backed by experience that it would be so.

Back then I was the one having the awful nights and the leaks. I was the one who was still desperate for sleep and perhaps it is a statement about how I am and how I preferred to take it slower. But RonAKA you are right, it is not a race and some people jump through more hoops at a time than me but we all get 'there' in the end.

So dk2011, it would be fab to see how you do in the forthcoming days/weeks.
