Why is pressure rising
Using my airsense autoset 10 for her past11 days. I use a few f20 silicone.
I am in bed not ready to fall asleep just relaxing. My pressure starts at 8,and in just a short period of time I notice my pressure could reach 10 or 11. I know I'm not having any events or problem with leaks. I am just sitting still yet the pressure rises. It also takes some time to go back to starting pressure.
Also wondering using cpap is there any issues with sleeping on my back? I know that I had more events on my sleep study on my back, but if I'm on cpap should it may a difference?
Sorry for long thread.
Thanks
RE: Why is pressure rising
As long as your machine is controlling things than sleep on your back if you want. You pressure rises due to many things. One is snoring. Sometimes the machine will pick up a vibration from talking, grunting or just moving and thinks it's snoring. It could the problem your having.
RE: Why is pressure rising
If it bothers you, I think an 8 ramp function will maintain the pressure of 8 as you fall asleep. The machine can pick up funny breath patterns as we fall asleep. If it doesn't bother you, I would leave it. In Walla walla signature there are instruction on how to download sleepyhead, you will find it a great help.
RE: Why is pressure rising
Regarding the pressure rising while you're just sitting around..... When you're awake, breathing can be extremely variable. You can hold your breath while threading a needle, at a suspenseful moment on TV, gawking at a porn magazine. The CPAP will respond by increasing the pressure....
