It seems Windows 8.2 will be called Windows 10. (What happened to 9?)
As I read, it seems 10 is really only a minor revision of Windows 8/8.1 and should be called 8.2; but, to distance it from Windows 8 MS will call it 10. IMHO: This version is what MS should have released originally as 8. Again, IMHO, Windows 8 is another Vista like flop.
Does anyone know if 10 can be applied to Win 7 as an upgrade (versus clean install.)????
I know a clean install, is best from the standpoint of getting rid of junk in the Registry. However, for me, a clean install would cause me to lose some software like Acrobat, photoshop Elements, and Roxio Creator.
R_G: No, I'm not adding a poll!

It's suppose to have two front ends; one for the touchscreen and one for the normal desktop which M$ forgot about in Win8. They are taking a marketing ploy from the early days of Windows. In the original Windows, users were met with UAE's (Unrecoverable Application Error). When M$ released Windows 3.1 they advertised that there were no more UAE's. That was because they renamed them GPF's (General Protection Fault).
