What I perceive in the "for her" algorithm is: Quicker to respond; but, lower in magnitude of response.

RE: Wording of prescription
On my prescription, doc wrote Autoset for Her specifically. I'd go that way.
"length of need 99 months, (99 months =lifetime)" <--- you can try this but there are rumors that Medicare is no longer going to accept it. Don't know that this is true.

RE: Wording of prescription
Just took a look at my prescription. Written on an actual prescription pad, the ones the doctor uses when he writes a prescription to get filled at a pharmacy.
All it says is this: Auto Cpap, patient choice, 4-20, plus supplies as needed. It also says "lifetime". My DME now tells me there is no such thing as lifetime, and asks me for a new script yearly. I have no problem with online suppliers.

RE: Wording of prescription
The DME has to make the script work with insurance. A copy of that will work for a lifetime with any of the online suppliers where you pay, but the when insured equipment and supplies are involved, it is my experience the DME asks for the Rx to be issued each year. That doesn't mean a new test, just a nuisance for your doctor's office. I keep copies of my records, and my primary care physician does the scripts for this. I even upgraded from APAP to BPAP last year.
