Your Personal CPAP Success Story - Post Here
RE: Your Personal CPAP Success Story - Post Here
I've tried all of the calling & asking what time I could come pick up the note & calling everyday to every other day & got the same old "we put the note on the Dr desk to write your excuse for work and your sleeping issue" yesterday I popped up there & they acted as if they was surprised to see me. I asked for my sleep study results & I decided to switch because they act like I was a bother by calling to get what I need.

I ate a fried chicken wing last night about 2 hours before bed and my AHI went from ranging at 0.9 - 1.1 to 2.1 so that was a lesson learned for me. No chicken at night time

That's good for the investors, bad for the patients.

Inquiring on some Yoga classes
I was thinking about taking some Yoga classes to help me relax and calm down some of my anxiety. Anyone ever took the classes and found it beneficial?

What are the signs of too high pressure?
I have not been able to sleep through the night for the last past few weeks. I wake up with very dry mouth, stomach bloated and a headache. It sort of feels like I get a brain freeze. I have the automatic heated hose and have the humidifier. Left message for DR but still no response in 3 weeks so, anybody ever experienced this?

Need help reading husband sleep study results
I picked up my husband sleep study report yesterday and he would've never even imagined he had sleep apnea. He only had the sleep study because my Sleep Specialist told him while he was with me at my appointment that he needed to be tested for it because of how he was breathing. It reads Overall apnea/hypopnea index 35.5/hour
REM AHI 24/hour
1 Central Apnea
2 Obstructive Apneas
214 Obstructive Hypopneas
Limb Movement 105, with index of17.2/hour
Supine Position REM 90/hour

How good or Bad are his results?

AHI of 24 is considered moderate sleep apnea.

Ok thank you, I got a little worried when I saw the #214

Oops! I read that wrong. AHI over 30 is considered severe, and his is 35.5, so it's a bit worse than what I said earlier, but either way there's a CPAP machine in his future. The good news is that it appears to be simple OSA.
