RE: Your ideal mask
I dunno about not getting colds, but colds are much more bearable now that I can sleep during them, and I seem to recover faster as well.

My whole family has been sick, gotten over it and reinfected each other again but I'm fine. I've been on treatment for 5 weeks now and I'm usually the first to get sick. Maybe it's the heated air and hose?

I have the same type of experience. I have been on CPAP since September 2010 and have not had a cold since even though I really did not get my therapy really straightened out until early this year. I was however using the VPAP every night from 2010 on.
