Then I'd also add a drinking tube attachment hat connected a cool reservoir of drinking water into a mouth tube so in the event I did end up mouth-breathing, I'd be able to easily irrigate my mouth and throat without taking the mask off.

What would your ideal mask be?
Based on how I used my own mask, my ideal would be a full (not total) face, but constructed asymmetrically so that it exerted a constant sideways tug towards the left side of my face, compensating for my slightly deviated septum and thereby opening my left nostril completely, making nose-breathing possible throughout the night. I approximate that right now by strategic mask strap adjustments -- pulled very tight on the left side, and much looser on the right, bud it's hard to get just right. The straps have to be tight, and I get morning face grooves. But despite that tightness, I sometimes still get leaks on loose looser-strapped right side of my nose since the mask is designed to fit centrally and I'm not doing that. Overall though it seems to work not too bad.
Then I'd also add a drinking tube attachment hat connected a cool reservoir of drinking water into a mouth tube so in the event I did end up mouth-breathing, I'd be able to easily irrigate my mouth and throat without taking the mask off.
