S9 mask fit pressure changes

S9 mask fit pressure changes
available in the S9 AutoSet and S9 Elite ... not available in the S9 Escape or S9 Escape Auto

I was not aware that the mask fit feature pressure has changed with the upgraded models till looked up the S9 manual
apology if told you pork pies before as was not aware of the changes. here are the correction

Mask-fit .... older version
The mask-fit feature delivers 10 cm H2O or set CPAP pressure (whichever is greater) for a three-minute period, prior to starting treatment.
During this time, the mask can be adjusted to minimize leaks.

Mask-fit .... upgraded version
In the S9 AutoSet, the mask-fit pressure is based on the 95th percentile of the previous session or 10 cm H2O whichever is greater.

In the S9 Elite, the mask-fit feature delivers 10 cm H2O or set CPAP pressure (whichever is greater) for a three-minute period, prior to starting treatment.

Thanks Zonk!

I too was unaware they had changed the mask fit on the updated firmware, it makes a lot of sense too, for me it would go up to around 16 cm instead of the current 10 cm.

Although, I could switch-over to CPAP mode with a pressure of 16 cm and then use the mask fit to get a more accurate fit pressure.

Lastly, what are "pork pies"? Is it like "kangaroo pie" only with pork? I loved the kangaroo pie I had several times when I was in Sydney, I wish someone would make it over here, I still think about it and how much I'd like to have one again. Smile

From the home screen, press the knob down and hold for 3 seconds until the smiley face appears.
