checking usage hours on resmed s9 autoset
Please let me know how one can check the usage house not run hours on s9.  Can it be checked if you have used the device more than one year?
Thanks

I think you mean "usage hours" and not "usage house"  It would depend if you have all the data on the SD card or archived elsewhere.  In any case, either #SleepyHead or ResScan will be able to breakdown the usage on a daily basis going back as far as you have data.

On the AirSense 10, the motor hours show up under the About selection, the last one in My Options. I'm guessing it's the same for the S9.

I've read on this forum that machines record both run hours and usage hours (or some other similar titles) and that 1 of these is more easily found than the other. if there's any point in guessing, I'd say I read about this in threads about experiences with DME providers.

I have not found usage hours on my resmed airsense 10 autoset or my resmed aircurve 10 asv. run hours is viewable in both the user menu and the clinician menu.

I'm guessing the newer resmed machines, at least, don't show usage hours. seems like run hours would be longer than usage hours; if true, I'd think that should be the more meaningful figure.

On the AirSense 10 "Usage Hours" shows up in the Sleep Report, so it's the hours used in the most recent day's sleep sessions.

ah. maybe that's what I'm vaguely remembering from other threads. I think the context was something like when picking up a new-to-you machine, make sure you check the run or blower hours to avoid letting unscrupulous vendors pass off today's usage hours as a measure of the age of the machine.

Understand but how do you see the total usage hours?

dunno. I tried changing the reporting period from 1 day to 1 year and it still reported usage hours to be today's run time.

From the manual:
Quote:From the Standard Info menu, patients can check their sleep quality, sleep report and service information. When Sleep Quality is set to On (via Setup > Clinical Setup > Options), data on previous usage (up to 365 days of data), mask-fit and AHI can be viewed.

Clinical setup you can get to by pressing the knob down simultaneously with the double check button, for about 3 seconds. Then you can change the set up on Sleep Quality (press the knob to select, twist to change, press the knob again to confirm).

I know on my S8 Autoset Vantage you can see total usage vs. total hours. I think it was limited to 365 days too. I presume that that design idea was made at Resmed based on the assumption that you'd go back to your sleep specialist each year to check your data.

That said, there may be a secret button sequence that lets you access the total usage data. Or maybe not; the SleepyHead app says to backup yearly.

Hope that helps.

On an S9 if you go into the info menu by pressing the i scroll down to the spanner and the run hours are shown there. But that’s not total usage hours.
