Other than the everyday stuff like flonase, which doesn't work for me,...... what really works and works well?

congestion
I just picked up sudafed. I works ok... but not like Afrin. I know that Afrin has reverse effects if taken too long.

You misunderstood, P10 = ResMed AirFit P10 Pillow Mask. The mask and pressure has always beat my congestion no matter how bad it has been. Physics always wins.

I have to wait until september....for a N20
so how is a P10 better than a P30I?

RE: congestion
The best mask is the one that works, and the P10 totally works for me. Never tried a 30

RE: congestion
I use the P10 mask, but my go-to decongestant is Flucasone Propionate (Flonase). This is a very effective allergy medicine and it does not disrupt my sleep or blood pressure like Sudafed. Directions are to start with one spray per nostril twice a day and transition to once a day. It's not habit forming. It doesn't have the instant effect of Afrin, but it works well for me when allergies kick up.

RE: congestion
I started with the P10, now have the N20. I prefer the N20. With the P10 I get more leaks plus not as comfortable. For nasal swelling I ended up getting surgery. Had a sinus infection that would not go away with antibiotics so they did a balloon sinuplasty for that, septoplasty for deviated septum and turbinate reduction for the swelling.

How is a sinus infection different from being stopped up all the time, and meds clearing you? I'm getting a N20 in september.. how long have you had it...and does it bother you after awhile? I have to make a appointment with an ENT soon, and get scoped. Possible surgery to possibly come off APAP. |
