(data review) Is this a high leak rate?

(data review) Is this a high leak rate?
Hey guys! I was wondering if this is considered a high leak rate, also is this a high amount of flow limitation as well? I was running 7-15cwp with no EPR last night with a soft cervical collar, and mouth tape. I do the tongue trick thing all day naturally and I can easily keep air from coming out of my mouth when it is open and I have the machine running. When I am asleep though, it is a whole different story lol. I have grabbed a dreamwear FFM and will be using it tonight to see if I can get a lower leak rate. I also am going to be running 7-14 at EPR 3 tonight to address my flow limitation. Do these sound like good changes to you guys?

Leaks are not that impressive, and the machine is able to deliver therapy effectively. It would be nice to be leak-free but this should improve as you learn to control the pressure. Many of us learn to talk or sip drinks under therapy, but it takes time. I think you need a bit of EPR for the flow limitations, and that will help to stabilize your pressure which is chasing FL.

Do you think it would be worth it to shift over to the FFM?

I would encourage you to be as comfortable as possible. I have leaks like yours from time to time. None of those leaks exceed the large leak threshold, and with the exception of 04:15 and 10:20, they are inconsequential to therapy or sleep in my opinion. I suspect you were unawaare of thiem other than for the review of your data. I hear similar hissing from my wife at night, and will sometimes give her a nudge if it gets really loud. Smile

Hmmm okay so I will not run the FFM tonight and instead I will just try somnifix sleep tape instead of my regular tape. Do you think not having EPR encourages mouth leaks in some way? Like maybe having a full blast constant pressure during exhale somehow encourages the mouth to pop open or something?
