RE: events per night
I can't wait to hear from the Doctor or the Medcare team when they check my records.. I'm thinking I'm going to get a lecture, haha.  But, oh well.  here's last night after the latest change.

They shouldn't lecture you! You're trying to get your AHI # better & trying to feel better. What is there to complain about? Ah! it's true, they are the specialist & you're not supposed to know or do anything to improve your situation, forgot about that! BTW I believe you could have more room for your chart & profile if you click on f9 or the black triangle ( calendar ) & f10 ( blue navigation panel) analyst having no use for those. Good luck with your call tomorrow!

Just sayin', even doctors could figure this out if they would join the forum.   like

Just an update. I'm now being forced to go for another sleep study. No clue what they could possibly learn from a 4th one! But the insurance company won't pay for the new machine unless this study shows need for it.

RE: events per night
It really depends on what study has been ordered. If ASV was recommended, then insurance usually wants a sleep test to evaluate efficacy. On the other hand, this could be a titration test that re-evaluates CPAP. You should ask your doctor for a copy of the order for the test. That should outline the objectives and methods or offer some clues. It's not reasonable to tell a patient to simply show up for a "sleep test". Ask for the details. You wouldn't go to any other test or evaluation without knowing what is being examined. You have the right of informed consent.

they told me that the insurance company won't just give me the asv machine and they want another study to see if I need it.

RE: events per night
Yes, so a titration study with the intended treatment to see if you CAN be successfully treated by the protocol/machine your insurer will have to cough up for.  There are lots of data saying you still need something other than what you have been prescribed...so far.  Your health care professionals apparently need you to have something else, and since you will be claiming for support from the insurer, this all has to be established yet again.

It's a bother, but it will all be history inside of a short while, and you should hopefully have a better treatment and machine.

Sounds like you are on your way. This is normal procedure for approval.
