If you have not done a test on free testosterone, it is a very easy screening and might reveal a cause for your feelings of fatigue, lack of energy and brain fog.
i went and got blood test done for testosterone, liver, thyroid, etc.. should have results by end of week.
There is a response time setting in my machine that was on standard, i changed it to soft. that seemed to make things more comfortable but it did increase my ahi over 5. maybe my sleep position too though.
RE: feeling dizzy from cpap
The Autoset Soft algorithm is a bit slower to respond to events and flow limits, so it can leave you short on therapy if your minimum pressure is not high enough, that mostly applies to obstructive events. You had a considerable number of centrals, so without data, it's not very easy to judge an AHI over 5. Besides, your normal event rate was about 3-5 anyway, so not much difference here. If it makes you more comfortable, that's cool, but it would help to see how it changed the event distribution.

yah. i noticed my machine weezing a bit today and it felt like it was difficult to inhale, i think it needs a filter change.

have people had issues with the type of nasal pillows i have? it feels like i struggle to inhale sometimes. im thinking of going for the prongs that go into your nose, my nostrils are kinda small, relatively speaking. the one i have is a cushion that just sits under, very hard to prevent leaks.

It sounds like you're using Respironics Dreamwear. I would bet you would do better with Resmed Airfit P10 nasal pillows, and in a larger size than you think. The Airfit is a true nasal pillow and rests on the outside of your nares. Many people are surprised that they need a larger size, and that a larger size flows much better.
Nasal "prongs" went the way of the dinosaur, and I think there is only one manufacturer left. Stick with the nasal pillows, and the Airfit P10 is among the most popular masks with members on the forum that use a nasal interface.

It is best to try the biggest size (large) and work down.
As Sleeprider says, the right size might be bigger than you think.
The biggest part of the pillows stay outside your nostrils, only the tip should go into the nostrils, the pressure will puff up the nasal pillow to form a seal around your nostrils. They should not go far into the nostrils at all, if this happens you struggle to get enough air so if you are fighting to get emough air, try a bigger size.

Oh yeah!...cause we're all about fashion about what we wear on our nose.

I dunno, you probably won't see them if your sleep therapy works well. Assuming eyes are closed, that is.

RE: feeling dizzy from cpap
hey man, im all about lookin good! hehe. so i think i found something that was a big issue. i was cleaning my bedroom and found mold growth behind a radiator under the window! not good because i have allergies and its bad in general. anyway i cleaned it as best i could and sprayed it thoroughly with a bleach and water solution which i read will kill mold. let the room air out and moved the bed away from that spot so it doesn't reappear hopefully. there is some water damage behind the radiator so i hope it doesn't return.
but anyway i could breath easier and last night had an ahi of under 3 with zero clear airway events. this is a good improvement. i also ordered an air purifier machine off amazon.
glad i caught this stuff.
