having a hard time.

RE: having a hard time.
It would be very helpful to see Oscar data to see how the vocal cord spasms look in the respiratory wave. More of an educational moment than anything else.

I would love to be able to do that for you. But right now my brain is only hitting on a cylinder or two.

Could be that the vocal cord spasms are the equivalent of croup in a child. Besides the steroids, it may be a help to turn up the humidity, as croup gets better with that, and a standard strategy with kids is to take them into a warm shower to clear their breathing. Worth a try.

Look for a laryngologist, a vocal cord specialist. My wife sees one for a paralysis of the vocal cord and the subsequent repair. More than an ENT this is who you want to at least consult with.

RE: having a hard time.

Still not really getting any sleep, so when I was able to fall asleep tonight I was very relieved.  Less then a hour later I woke in total fight and flight.  It was not the same thing that started this whole thread, as I did not feel like I was choking.  I really want to know what caused this and what my card showed.  So I was able to get OSCAR going.  I was using my cpap for about 45 mins when this took place. (close to 2300)  But I dont really see anything on the charts, but then I have yet learned to read the charts.  Can anyone see anything that might have been this event? I would sure like to have some ideas what it was so I can start to correct it.  As I am to shaken to try and sleep again.

Thanks for the help

Bert

Maybe this view might be more helpful.  Looking at the flow rate graph can someone give me an idea what they see there?  Right at the end of the graph is that just me pulling my mask off? Or was there more right there? The flow shapes dont look clean and Normal anything you can teach me about this?

Very sorry for asking so many dumb questions.

Bert
