To clarify my experiences with the process:

Approximately 2 months total, 3 phases,
#1. longest wait (2-3 weeks) was getting an appointment at the Sleep Center after the doc referred me to them.
#2. All testing by the Center took another 2-3 weeks.
#3. Then SAIL had my personal machine to my door in ~2 weeks.

That last 2 week wait was the longest because I had been spoiled with some real sleep when the Sleep Center did the testing on the S9 APAP. Was a little impatient during that last 2 week period Smile

Considering I had been going without proper sleep for a number of years, found the wait was reasonable from all parties involved.

Well. I just found to have Sleep Apnea recently and Dr was asking me to get a CPAP machine. However I've done my homework and found an APAP machine make more sense to me. APAP does what CPAP does but not the other way around. I end up paying the difference of them out of my pocket (about $120) and get the DreamStation APAP machine.
Never own a CPAP but APAP works pretty good. It auto RAM/adjusts pressure from 4 to 20 according to what I need. In fact some said it will slowly learn from my AHI usage and setup a suitable/comfortable pressure. I think I should have the right to choose the type of machine as I pay part of it. It makes more sense to get an APAP.
I know the reason to get a CPAP is that they don't want people playing around with the settings.
I found we Canadian have cheaper drug price but the CPAP machine and mask are still cheaper in the US. You will be surprised how much cheaper if you purchase online than getting them from the stores.
