If I have a stuffy nose and I breathe through my mouth will my ResMed report that?
To clarify will it report it as an event? if so what will the event be and how will it effect my score?

Yes, it will report a high leak rate.
Know that your machine may not be able to flag apnea events with accuracy if you have a high leak rate, whether it be from mouth breathing or mask leaking.

I actually find I am able to sleep a lot better with nasal pillows when I have a cold then prior to pap therapy.

I too had a leak problem, I was unknowingly mouthbreathing, this forum helped me identify it.
A chin strap did not work for me. I had to try many full face masks to find one that would work (Beard issue) My point is everyone is different, every face is different, just keep trying until you find what works for you.
