new ResMed machine and ResScan software issue

new ResMed machine and ResScan software issue
Hi all!
My hubby (D) was just diagnosed with OSA. He was prescribed with a new ResMed Autoset 10 machine and full face mask. The first night we realized all he gets in the morning is a time and a smiley face for data on the machine, so we started trying to figure out how to get access to the data.

First I signed up for MyAir - but from looking at the second night's data (first night wasn't available because we hadn't signed up yet) there wasn't a whole lot available. So, we found this site, got the link for the ResScan program and installed it. However, when we tried using the card from the machine it claims it is incompatible with my built-in SD card reader (1 year old PC running Windows 10 home). We'd like to have data access, but we need to stay in compliance with his doctor too, so we can't change anything that would screw up their ability to get his data (which we were told will happen automatically by wifi). What can we do?

Thanks!
S (sharing his account since I'm more tech savvy, at least in English Smile)

RE: new ResMed machine and ResScan software issue
Hi Fluffy. If you really want to see and examine the data download #SleepyHead . It's free and provides lots more details in an easier to use interface than Resscan. It's a good idea to get at least a week of data before considering changes.

It looks like your husband is using a Resmed Airsense 10 set to fixed pressure at 9 cmH2O. It would help if you looked up the machine model. It will be either CPAP, Elite or Autoset. The CPAP does not produce useful efficacy data, but the other two machines do. The SD card is not unique to the machine and should be compatible in your PC. If you can read a camera card, you can read the CPAP. Note the SD card has a lock/unlock switch on the side. Be sure it is in the unlocked position when in the CPAP, or data will not be written.

Download #Sleepyhead, and take a look at the tutorials in my signature on how to organize and post the data if you choose to. Also the robysue article will help you to understand what the data and charts mean. Good luck!
